Trace3 and Technologent honored for using F5®
technologies to overcome organizations’ IT challenges
SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
F5
Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: FFIV)
today announced the winners of the 2013 F5 Agility Awards, celebrating
partners in the Americas region that have demonstrated creativity,
business value, and innovation with F5® solutions. This
year’s winners are Trace3
and Technologent.
The awards were announced during this week’s Agility
event, an annual conference focused on F5 customers and partners.
“Trace3 and Technologent earned this recognition by helping customers
use F5’s technologies to get the most out of the applications and IT
environments they depend on—in the data center, the cloud, and
everywhere in between,” said Dave Feringa, EVP of Worldwide Sales at F5.
“With an established channel partner ecosystem, F5 offers physical and
virtual solutions on a powerful application delivery platform. Together,
F5 and sales partners help customers scale, optimize, and protect their
infrastructures intelligently, and uncover the benefits of emerging
technologies like SDN.”
2013 F5 Agility Award Winners
Trace3 is a consultancy and technology solutions provider that
specializes in solutions designed to reduce complexity within the IT
infrastructure by simplifying data management, maximizing
virtualization, and accelerating the network. As an example of Trace3’s
work with F5, the company architected a custom infrastructure solution
for MINDBODY,
a leading cloud-based software provider focused on the health, wellness,
and beauty industries.
MINDBODY’s business challenge was to replace its existing data center
with co-located infrastructure to better support the company’s growth
rate of approximately 1,000 new customers per month. Trace3 leveraged
F5’s technology partnership with NetApp
to provide MINDBODY with a solution integrating F5’s VIPRION®
application delivery and security services with the FlexPod
data center and storage platform. The solution is expected to help
MINDBODY reduce OpEx costs by 25 percent and see complete ROI by the end
of this year. In addition, the solution has decreased application page
load times by 40 percent and seen RTO
reduced from 24 hours to 30 minutes.
“To move the project forward, we first needed to show MINDBODY a
reference architecture they could have confidence in,” said Timothy
Abbott, Executive General Manager at Trace3. “The customer’s
availability, security, and cost requirements made this a perfect fit
for F5. As a member of F5’s GUARDIAN
program and holder of more than 20 F5 certifications, we knew we could
easily work in sync with their professional services team to get the job
done right for the customer.”
Technologent is a leading IT solution provider focused on
enterprise-class infrastructure and data center solutions designed to
help clients support their business strategy and propel growth.
Technologent has a strong working relationship with F5, evidenced by a
Fortune 500 organization’s recent project to optimize an SAP application
deployment and ensure secure access capabilities. In addition, the
solution needed to support all existing features of the Microsoft Threat
Management Gateway (TMG) product, which announced
end of life last year.
The project successfully replaced TMG servers, Cisco ACE, and Cisco CSS
technologies with a consolidated access and security solution from F5.
Combining F5’s VIPRION hardware with the company’s BIG-IP®
Local Traffic Manager™, Access
Policy Manager®, and Application
Security Manager™ products resulted in significantly
improved performance of the organization’s business-critical SAP
application, as well as enhanced application security.
“Being able to consolidate services like caching and compression to
better support the customer’s SAP deployment was a huge win,” said Marco
Mohajer, EVP, Sales and Marketing at Technologent. “With F5’s unified
application delivery platform and time-saving iApps®
templates, the Fortune 500 company was able to quickly optimize
application performance and reduce the amount of manual configurations
required. In addition, the customer is in a great position to update and
tailor their application delivery preferences over time with F5’s
programmable iRules®
technology.”
